Personal Accident (PA) Insurance
Who is it designed for
Private individuals aged between 16 and 70. The PA insurances are:
- Individual insurances when concluded for one person;
- Group insurances when concluded for more than to two persons. The number of the insured persons shall be defined on the basis of a name list or the average man power.
Insurance subject
Underwriting a PA insurance policy, the Insurer takes on a risk against events regarding the life, the health and the bodily entireness of the insured person. Depending on the choice of the insured person/insuring person and the specific of the performed activity (main occupation, hobby, sports, free time activities, such as mountain and/or sea tourism, etc.), the conditions of the insurance shall be agreed in accordance with the Special and General Insurance Conditions of the PA insurance.
Insurance cover
The insurance cover shall be provided depending on the special condition of each insurance type and the covered risks agreed in the insurance policy.
Sum insured
The sum insured is the sum written in the insurance contract for one person. The insuring person could ask for an increase of the sum insured within the term of the policy, declaring it in writing and paying an additional premium.
Insurance premium
The insurance premium is the sum due by the insured person/insuring person to the Insurer. The insurance premium shall be calculated according to the tariff of the Insurer depending on the sum insured, the risk class (set in accordance with the performed occupation or activity), the covered risks, the insurance term and the specific risk manifestation. The insurance premium shall be paid off in a single lump sum upon conclusion of the insurance. An installment plan of the payment may be agreed for the group contracts.
Currency of the contract
The insurance policy may be signed in BGN or EUR depending on the agreement between the insured person/insuring person and the Insurer.
Insurance term
From 1 day up to 5 years.
Territorial scope
The insurance is valid for the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria and/or the whole world.
Paying off sums insured and indemnities
The sums and the indemnities shall be paid off within 15 days from the submittance of all the necessary documents by the persons authorized under the contract.
